As we reach the end of the 2015/16 season it is time to say a big thank you to the (Beckley Rangers Under 18) Eagles manager Rob Sayer.

Rob is standing down having managed the team since 2010 and taken them from strength to strength; from reaching the cup final in his first season in charge to “doing the league and cup double” in the 2013/14 season and on to challenging for second place in the 2015/16 season (despite having to field a side of just 10 players in one game). There have been plenty of highs and lows along the way but that is football!

The team along with their parents would like to thank Rob and his family for the patience and commitment they have shown. Luckily with a family of boys, football is a united passion and his wife Sally tirelessly provides admin support, home game refreshments and some amazing cakes.

Rob has built a great squad of players with true team spirit despite the challenges they have regularly faced and they all sum up his time in charge as “quality”!
