"Rye of the rovers": can a local team stop champions Dare to Zlatan from defending their title?

A new community six-aside football league is starting soon at Rye Sports Centre aimed at local people of all abilities and ages. Free entry and a free paintballing day out worth £525 and FA affiliation to the Local FA is an added advantage for teams that join the Soccersixes on Thursday evenings between 7pm and 9pm. The entry package alone is worth £600 which Soccersixes are giving away free to all new teams that enter into the league.

Teams will play an intense 30 minute match each week with a qualified referee. Teams entering will have the chance to win a huge array of awards including; trophies for winners and runners-up, player of the season, and a fair play award. Teams will also have the opportunity of playing against other teams from leagues across England in Soccersixes’ national cup.

All matches are officiated by qualified referees while sixes staff will attend the league each week to ensure the smooth running of fixtures and to deal with any queries or problems. All equipment will be provided including high quality Umbro footballs. Anyone over the age of 15 can enter and you do not need to be an organised or established team, you may simply be a group of friends, work colleagues or mates from the pub. The league will be fully affiliated to the FA.

Soccersixes’ Tom Stringer said: “This league has been organised for the benefit of the local community and the vast array of awards is sure to prove popular with teams. Our website offers teams chance to log on daily and find all there league tables, fixtures, top players and all general information regarding the league. We aim to ensure that all teams get maximum enjoyment from playing, this makes all our hard work running and maintaining the leagues worthwhile.”

Teams are advised to contact Soccersixes ASAP to register in advance and avoid disappointment as places are limited. Soccersixes can be contacted by phone on 0787 568 2927 and teams can also register online at www.soccersixes.net
