Staff and members at the Rye Sports Centre – operated by Freedom Leisure on behalf of Rother District Council– are being invited to get ‘reddy’ and take part in fundraising activities to support the British Heart Foundation “Wear It, Beat It” campaign on Friday February 5.

On the day, staff will be supporting the campaign by taking part in a team “spinathon” event, which will see them continuously cycle from 10am to 6pm. All staff will be wearing something red and asking customers on the day to do the same, if they wish, for a small donation.

At 6:15pm the Sports Centre will also be hosting a fancy dance event for an evening filled with games, floats and competitions. The pool will be dyed red in support of the British Heart Foundation and is open to anyone under 16 years old. The centre will be creating a fun party atmosphere with lively music throughout the evening.

“The British Heart Foundation does extraordinary and lifesaving work and we are very pleased to be supporting its Wear It, Beat It campaign,” says Ian Oliver, Freedom Leisure Centre Manager. “We hope to see many of our local community come down to centre on Friday and help support this worthy cause.”

Around the centre there will be photographs of Rye Sports Centre staff, and customers will be encouraged to take part in a game of guess the baby photo for small donation.
