2021 was a truly exciting season for Rye Cricket Club:
- The 1st Xl finished second in Division 3 (East) Sussex County League, the highest ever position in the club’s history in the Sussex cricket pyramid, before losing in a play off to Findon.
- The Colts enjoyed full participation in the Ashford & District League with teams entered with two U11 teams and an U13 team. The U11A won their league and a member of the B team won both the batting and bowling award for the league.
- The club organised both All Stars and Cricket Dynamos programmes, with 40 youngsters aged 5-11
- The club hosted two summer cricket camps with a combined 60 participants, for both softball and hardball.
- The club has now signed a 99 year lease on the pavilion on the Rye Cricket Salts and an agreement with Rother DC for the club to work on the square. Both are key to the future of Rye Cricket Club and cricket in the community of Rye and the locality.
We are eagerly looking forward to 2022. We are very grateful to all our sponsors for their support of Rye Cricket Club. There will be over 100 members, 130 fixtures this season, with three Saturday league teams, five Colts teams, and a midweek friendly X1. In addition a winter and summer coaching programme for the Colts, plus the club has run free taster sessions for local primary schools to offer coaching, and raising awareness of the game of cricket. The club has been restarting cricket at Rye College by running a cricket club.
We hope that our regular sponsors will be able to support us again in 2022, and that new sponsors will take the opportunity to support us for the first time. The support remains the same as 2019, the options for sponsorship are;
- Fixture card: ¼ page advert £25, ½ page advert £50, ¾ page advert £75, whole page £100
- Match ball sponsor £25 – Business name listed in fixture card and featured in local media prior to the game and after the game.
- Advertising board sponsor £200 – advertising board in front of the club pavilion for 20 weeks from April 16 to September 5. We can support the design and production of advertising boards.
- Scoreboard sponsor £300 – business name on the club electronic scoreboard and will feature in team photographs used in local media.
- Pavilion sponsors – negotiable based on requirements eg. welcome sign £500 – on display all year round.
All sponsors will be listed on our website, providing links to their home pages.
To place an advert for the fixture card, please send the advert by March 31 so that we can put together the card to meet a deadline of April 4 to print the fixture card. We will be doing a launch of the fixture card on Friday, April 22 in the pavilion on the Cricket Salts at 7pm.
