A fantastic double was achieved last weekend by Rye Town FC at the Toyland Christmas Festival. However, on this occasion, it was not on the football pitch! Their sporting endeavours instead saw them win the Tug of War versus the Mermaid Inn and triumph in the annual pudding race at the Rye Christmas Festival last weekend.
Back on the pitch, they will be playing at home this coming Saturday in the East Sussex Football League Division 1 at The Salts, Fishmarket Road. Kick-off is at 2pm against Robertsbridge United.
Many locals are so pleased to see the club up and running again and your support is always more than welcome, particularly with this being a local derby. The newly renovated club house is host to a range of refreshments and a licensed bar so everyone is catered for. A great way for all the family to watch and enjoy local grass roots football.
