Autumn Open Studios at Rye Creative Centre

This may be the very last Open Studios event that the New Road Artists hold in the old Freda Gardham building, before we move to our new, permanent studios in Rye Harbour.

It is always a fantastic opportunity to meet the artists, explore their creative spaces, and view their work in situ. Plus, you’ll have the chance to purchase art and craft directly from the creators, you might just pick up a bargain!

For years, this former school has been our meanwhile home — a place to work, teach, and share our creative practices. We thought we’d only be here for a few years, but 18 years later, we have grown into a wonderfully supportive community, which welcomes over 100 other creatives every week. As the building prepares for its own new chapter, we mark the occasion with one final* Open Studios, to celebrate the community we’ve built here, before say a final ‘Goodbye’ to Freda and we move on to somewhere we can settle for good.
