What an amazing evening last Saturday as the residents of Rye and Winchelsea braved the weather to hear  music and song ranging from Cole Porter, Henry Mancini and Irving Berlin to Noel Coward, writes Irna Mortlock (media and volunteer co-ordinator at ARRCC – Activities, Respite, Rehabilitation Care Centres) . The Brockham Choral Society, conducted by Andrew Phillips, enthralled the audience in St Thomas’ church, Winchelsea, with their talented performance from these composers and just under £1000 was raised in ticket sales, bar takings and programme donations. ARRCC would like to thank Andrew Phillips, the Brockham Choral and, of course, the audience for supporting them.
