Podcasting workshop schedule:
1) What’s in a Podcast? – Turn your brilliant idea into something doable and successful. We will tackle branding, audience, frequency, length and so on. This will be the foundation of moving onto the more practical issues of making a podcast. Planning is crucial to ensure achievability of your project.
2) The ins and outs of Recording your Podcast – The second part will cover techniques for recording, equipment you will need for your particular project and an introduction to DAWs* (Digital Audio Workstations).
3) Launching your Podcast – The final aspect of the workshop will focus on online hosting options, linking to your website and building an audience through marketing on social media.
*Note that a more technically in-depth workshop can be given in early summer using recorded material from your projects. This time can also be used as a follow up to any questions/difficulties participants come across.
