Harbour celebrates mums

Joseph Brown, volunteer crew-member at RNLI Rye Harbour surprises his mum Jean

Mothering Sunday is a special day set aside for cherished mothers in our family, society and around the world.
In times of uncertainty, it is the family that acts a as a shield and source of inspiration. On Sunday, March 11, as part of the bigger picture of the RNLI family, Rye Harbour celebrated Mothering Sunday at the lifeboat station with Mums and Nanas of the volunteer crew (see photo and caption above).
Their mothers’ unconditional love and support is what keeps the crew strong and resilient and gives them courage in the work they do saving lives at sea.
