The Music Well Community Interest Company was set up eight years ago in Rye to benefit the local community. We provide sessions with registered music therapists, particularly to schools, singing for wellbeing and better breathing, drum workshops, music groups for day centres, improvisation and gong baths as well as study days into the benefits that music can bring to health and wellbeing.
Our mission is to find a musical prescription for need in our community e.g. supporting mental health in young people at the moment with music therapy and drum sessions, supporting people with breathing and lung problems through singing groups and bringing the elderly together for music workshops.
We are seeking a new chairman to take us forward with this mission. All directors are volunteers.  The chairman is a voluntary role and as such attracts no remuneration. Would you like to find out more about this position? Please contact Stephen Clift, the current chairman, at enquiries@themusicwell.org.uk or ring 01797 226330.
