See the Marsh by bike

How about taking a different view of Romney Marsh? Instead of rushing through it by car, train or bus, take the opportunity to admire the unique nature of the area on a bike.

Next weekend, September 29, the 13th annual Tour de Rye et Romney Marsh takes place.

Organised by Rye & Winchelsea Rotary Club and Rye Wheelers it is open to cyclists of all abilities with distances to suit. If you fancy yourself as another Geraint Thomas (the winner of the 2018 Tour de France) there are routes covering 50km or even 100km, but if you just want a pleasant ride on your old bike with a basket on the front, how about just 10km or perhaps 25km?

The start is from the Rye Club, Market Road between 9am and 10am and the only cost is a requested donation of just £10 for adults, £6 for under 16s and free for under 11s with the proceeds going to local good causes.
