The 2nd Rye and 1st Peasmarsh Guides are organising a table sale at the Scout Centre, The Grove, on Saturday February 11. The event will help fund an expedition in May this year to the Victorian Baths in Manchester. “It’s a special opportunity to take the girls to swim in the historic baths and have a sleep-over,” said Louise Grabowski, one of the guide leaders. All the girls can swim, having been taught by her colleague, Ruth Hayes, who is a swimming tutor.
The table sale runs from 10am till 12 noon and there will be light refreshments and tombola. A few tables are still available at £10 – contact Louise on 07543 400173.
Later that same day, the guides are holding a quiz night starting at 6.30pm for 7pm, entry £2 per person, maximum six persons per table. All are welcome at both events.
