A range of excellent artworks from award-winning GCSE students at Rye College is currently on display at Rye Art Gallery on the High Street. The artworks include a number of prize winners such as Jevon Fullalove, who received the Stuart Griffiths Award for his eerie photography (pictured). Also in receipt of the Stuart Griffiths Award are Susie Dighton-Brown and Laura Gow.

Other award winners include Charlotte Williams, for her faceless portrait, and Harry Stevens, for his silhouette landscape painting, both of whom received the Rye Society of Artists prize. Congratulations also go to Ellie Day and Megan Williams, who both received the David Purdie Award.

The Art Department at Rye College also bestowed a number of Leavers’ Awards on a cohort of students including Amber Turner and Ellie Baurn, while Freddy Bartlett and Samuel Symons both received the College’s Most Improved Award. Congratulations to them all.

The show, which fills the top floor of the gallery, encompasses photography, painting, ceramics, models and garments and is open until August 27.
