Saturday saw a remarkable match for the 1st team of Icklesham Casuals who drew 6-6 in their top of the table clash at home to Sovereign Saints.

The side conceded two goals in the opening six minutes and Saints player Philip Broom completed a hat-trick inside 25 minutes. The Casuals fought back to trail only 4-3 at the interval thanks to strikes from Sam Norman, Adam Sully and Dave Pugh.

The scoring continued in the second half with goals being exchanged. Steffan Davies netted the fourth with Dave Pugh levelling the scores at 5-5 from the penalty spot only for Sovereign Saints to retake the lead. It was left to young substitute Solly Cooke to get the final equaliser with five minutes to go.

The 2nd team went down 7-0 away to Division Five leaders Hampden Park. Trailing only 1-0 at half-time the team then had a nightmare 20 minutes at the start of the second period in which they conceded six goals.
