The 14th Rye International Jazz and Blues Festival takes place from 28 to 31 August this year, with announcements about who is playing due very soon.

Ahead of the 2026 programme, the Festival has organised a special concert featuring Curtis Stigers at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill on Saturday 1 August at 7.30pm. Tickets have just gone on sale.

A spokesperson for Rye Jazz described Curtis as a firm festival favourite, “We’ve had the pleasure of working with him many times over the years — he always delivers… and then some. With a career spanning more than 30 years, Curtis has built a reputation as one of the most distinctive and versatile voices in jazz, blues and soul. A singer, songwriter and saxophonist, he first rose to international prominence in the 1990s with hits including I Wonder Why and You’re All That Matters to Me, before evolving into a critically acclaimed jazz artist. Since then, he’s released multiple award-winning albums, performed with world-class orchestras, and collaborated with legends including Carole King, Al Green and Tom Jones. Renowned for his rich, expressive voice and genre-blending style, Curtis continues to captivate audiences worldwide — making this an unmissable live experience.”

Tickets are available direct from the De La Warr Pavilion.
