The Wealden Consort will perform at St Mary’s Church in Rye on Friday 19 June, presenting a ‘Choral Tonic’ – an evening of music to soothe the soul.
“It’s the first time time we have performed in Rye and we are excited to be coming to sing in such a beautiful setting,” said Jo Levett from Wealden Consort. “For those who have not come across us before, we’re a friendly, enthusiastic and accomplished chamber choir that comes together to make music of a high standard. We play a wide repertoire, sacred and secular, ancient and modern, throughout Kent, Sussex and also further afield. We always aim to include in our repertoire something for everyone, and this programme will be no exception.”
Although the full programme has not yet been decided, the evening promises a mix of older and more contemporary pieces.
