Camber fun, but beware dangers
Thousands come to Camber Sands every year as the weather warms up but, although the beach is an ideal destination for many families, danger can still lurk if sensible precautions are not taken
Stop: roadworks and traffic
Traffic grinds to a halt at the bottom of Rye Hill as Military Road is swamped with a three fold increase in the number of cars using it. And, as the A268 roadworks may be coming to an end, Rye's Town Council is less than happy. Five weeks of disruption after only a few days notice is not enough warning, particularly when doctors' appointments are at risk. Charles Harkness reports
Allotment ban on brewing a cuppa
Is the National Trust trying to destroy a national tradition? Winchelsea allotment holders have been told they cannot brew up on land owned by the trust. Plotholders aren't impressed - they say the trust is guilty of double standards and point to other allotments in town where the trust doesn't insist on the same rules
