Rye Bonfire's Auction of Promises

Rye Bonfire Society’s Auction of Promises, Antiques and Miscellaneous Items will be held at the Mermaid Inn’s Tudor Room this Thursday May 24, viewing from 7:00pm with the sale commencing at 7:.30pm. Tickets will be £5.00 which will include a glass of wine and catalogue.
 
 Thanks to Ruth and her team, we can announce that some great items have been donated, including prints by highly regarded and sought after artist, (and our Vice President), Rostislav Romanoff and two rare original drawings by John Ryan.
 
Or perhaps a limited edition of 26 prints, colour etching?

 Other goodies available on the night include a unicycle, boat trip around Rye Bay, paddle boarding, a floppy hat, wool spinning lesson, nest of three pine tables, bottle of champagne from Houses of Parliament, hand carved wooden plaque of favourite person or pet, clairvoyant reading & healing, and not forgetting the chance to bid for the honour of being Rye Fawkes for the night and be paraded down to the Salts and a chance of a lifetime to light the ‘Nornous Bonfire’ on the night..
 
Rye & District Bonfire Society would like to thank Judith Blincow, and her team, at the Mermaid Hotel for their continued support in hosting their annual Auction of Promises to raise funds for this year’s Bonfire Celebrations and everybody who has donated such wonderful items!
