On Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 6:30pm there is a concert at the Rye Creative Centre with the Bridgepoint Ensemble featuring Matthew Truscott and Sarah Sexton (violins), Judith Busbridge, (viola) and Sarah McMahon (cello). Special guests include Matt Glendening on clarinet, Katherine Baker on flute and Bryn Lewis on harp.

Matt Glendening

The principal clarinet and flute of the Royal Opera House and the LSO’s harpist, Bryn Lewis, join the Bridgepoint Ensemble for an eclectic evening that features one of the finest and most popular pieces in the repertoire, Mozart’s sublime Clarinet Quintet. Also in the programme is a fascinating piece by the French eccentric Albert Roussel and Ravel’s fabulous one-movement septet, his Introduction and Allegro for flute, clarinet, harp and string quartet.

Flautist, Katherine Baker

To start the second half, Matthew Truscott and Bryn Lewis will bring us the virtuosic and wonderfully tuneful Fantasie by Saint-Saëns.
