Some of Annie’s many beautiful linocut prints

In the absence of the usually annual South East Open Studios this year, Annie Soudain, who works in linocuts and other media, is opening up her home and workspace anyway. Visitors to 5 Firehills Cottages off Lower Coastguard Lane in Fairlight will see a huge variety of beach scenes, landscapes, animal and bird, floral studies and much more.
It is incredible how prolific Annie is, especially considering that the linocut process in which she specialises is so detailed and time consuming. As well as a wide variety of beautiful prints, Annie is also selling a huge range of greetings cards of all sizes and types and some unique tea towels. The setting itself is beautiful and has inspired many of Annie’s designs.
The studio is open Friday June 8 to Sunday June 10 and Friday June 15 to Sunday June 17 between 11am and 6pm.
