The annual Rye Flower and Veg Show will take place at the Rye Community Centre on Saturday, August 31.

This will be the 15th year (a crystal celebration) and the show is set to be bigger and better than ever.

For all entrants the schedule is out and about in various locations in town to pick up for free. Try the Bargain Box, Tilling Green, Adams or Rye Harbour shop, amongst others.

The show is open to everyone and all entrants should try to get their entry forms back to the organisers by Friday August 30 but they will still accept entries on the day. Bring them along between 8:30am and 11:30am to the community centre.

If you have the best or the longest runner bean, the most perfect or the funniest-shaped carrot – there is a class for it. There are also categories for photography, baking, preserves and handicrafts.

If you have nothing to enter this year then why not pop in after 2pm to admire the display of locally grown fruit, flowers, vegetables and cookery and enjoy a cup of tea kindly provided by Landgate WI and watch the prize giving at 3:30pm?

Find the show on Facebook and Instagram and if you have any queries, call 07553 982829 for further information.
