Icklesham Casuals moved up to third place in Division Four with a convincing 10-2 win away to Magham Down last Saturday, October 12.

An impressive performance from the side saw the Casuals passing the ball well and retaining possession with many chances created but it took the Casuals almost 20 minutes to open the scoring with Phil Badrock netting the first goal which was followed by a Leon Pettit strike and a further effort from Badrock but at 3-1 down and then 4-2 early in the second half after Badrock completed his hat-trick, Magham Down were still in the game, Steven Cheesman and Callum Langford finding the net for Magham Down.

Icklesham then took complete control and the game was a personal triumph for Badrock who finished with seven goals just failing to equal the club record of eight goals in a single match. Joe Maylam and George Barrow completed the scorers and but for the Magham Down goalkeeper making some fantastic saves the score could have been much greater.

Not surprisingly Badrock won the Man of the Match award kindly donated by Helenswood Sports Centre.

This Saturday the Casuals have another away league game when they meet West Hill United at Bexhill Road.
