The Rye Cricket Club junior spring sessions are getting underway. These sessions are supported by the generosity of the Rye Fund and the Ted Baker Trust.

The under 16s have started on Sunday afternoons from 4pm – 5:30pm at Claremont Prep School. The cost is just £5 per session. This group are targeting not only the under 16 team, but also starting to play adult cricket in Rye’s 3rd XI on Saturday afternoon.

Next Wednesday, March 6 the younger juniors start their indoor nets at Rye Sports Centre. There is a softball session 6pm – 7pm for school years 3-6 and a hardball session 7pm – 8pm. This is a really good way to start and develop cricketing skills.

For new participants the first two sessions are free, as a taster. Therefore £30 for all eight weeks, or £40 for existing junior members.

The club will be running teams at under 9 years /  under 11 years / under 13 years / under 16 years, when we start outdoors in May.

To get involved contact Martin Blincow 07535 482006 or blincsfamily@aol.com.

Alongside the under 16s are the adult league.
