Rye Cricket Club has been awarded £3,679 by The Rother Community Grant Fund to carry out work on The Rye Cricket Club Pavilion. The Award was confirmed at the recent Cabinet Meeting of Rother District Council.

Rye Cricket Club will match the amount from its own funds to carry out work on the disabled toilet. The toilet will be expanded and the ramp rebuilt, so that both are compliant with accessibility legislation. The two steps into the pavilion will also be renewed.

Rye Cricket Club would like to express their gratitude to all those who support the club, to ensure its ongoing development both on and off the field. In particular our sponsors in 2019: Old Dairy Brewery, Rush, Witt & Wilson, Contour Contracts, The Mermaid Inn, Concepts of Rye, World of Water, Mahdi Spice, Tony Bowles Carpets, Melissa Cook, Yew Tree Stone, Winchelsea Cricket Club, Channons Country Store, Peter Farrow Jeweller, Atlas Trailer Hire, The Hope & Anchor, The Window Wizard, Keeley Cricket Bats, Phillips & Stubbs, Rye Gardening Services, and The Jempson Foundation.

  1. Rye Community Shop is pleased to see that the cricket club have received this. We gave them the £400 they asked for this time last year to help purchase a disabled ramp. Volunteers work hard to raise money for such grants and thanks are always appreciated.
