Winchelsea in Concert

A special concert will be given in St Thomas’ Church, Winchelsea  on Saturday December 16, in celebration of the life of Tom Harris,  the talented local pianist who died, aged just 22, at the end of 2015. Performing artists are L’Octuor de France, an internationally acclaimed chamber ensemble, and close friends of the Harris family.

The concert is organised by Winchelsea Arts, who recently presented an evening with pianist Chiyan Wong , as reported last month in Rye News. The programme includes Coleridge-Taylor’s Quintet for Clarinet & Strings and Schubert’s Octet in F major.

A Reception and a full Post-Concert Meal with L’Octuor will be held at Winchelsea New Hall from 8.45pm. Cash Bar available in Church from 6pm

Tickets: Concert only: £20; Concert and Reception Meal £45; Reception Meal only £25 –  available from the Box Office

Proceeds to the Thomas Harris International Piano Foundation and Winchelsea Arts.
