Luciaphiles gather round Mermaid

The good, the bad and the beautiful donned their smartest attire, polished their wittiest conversation and moseyed on down to the Mermaid for the annual gathering of the Friends of Tilling. Normal people watched, open mouthed as the elegant gentlemen and and brilliant ladies paraded in their furs, silks and badges of office. The BBC may not be coming back, but Mapp and Lucia are never going away

Responding to refugees’ plight
