Sabotage theatre company put on a thought provoking, moving and educational show about owling (smuggling) in Sussex at the weekend as part of the JAM festival

Songs from Sondheim musicals, comedy thrills, operatic arias and the launch of this year's programme for the Rye Arts Festival all feature in a busy programme of events this coming weekend and the next.

This week's featured film, 'Minions', the story begins at the dawn of time. Starting as single-celled yellow organisms, Minions evolve through the ages, perpetually serving the most despicable of masters. But one Minion named Kevin has a plan, and he - alongside teenage rebel Stuart and lovable little Bob - ventures out into the world to find a new evil boss for his brethren to follow. On Saturday July 25, Brockham Choral, a choir based near Dorking in Surrey, will present a programme of words and music entitled "Murder, Mayhem and Matrimony" in St Thomas’ Church, Winchelsea, in aid of local charity ARRCC.
