The participants of the attic sale on Saturday May 12, would like to thank the Rye locals and visitors for their generosity, kindness and community spirit, writes Enid Ahlstrom. The power of people to come together is very healthy. They supported our fundraising efforts for the Rye Hospital on behalf of our dear friend Sara Charles. Sara and her husband Michael are currently in New Zealand but she inspired us to carry on with her annual attic sale. Rain or shine, it was a wonderful day and a total of £475 was raised.
