RNLI Rye Harbour crew members passed thirty-one modules on Monday, July 10 during the visit of Dave Needham, south coast assessor and trainer, and Ron Thrall, LTA lifeboat trainer and assessor, from Littlestone. The modules included: local knowledge; towing command; boat handling; maritime e-nav; plan search and rescue; e-nav; launch and recovery afloat; heli ops; hazardous substances and rôles and responsibilities command.
Martin Geldart was also successful in passing his shore crew plan.

High Five for Martin having finished his shore plan

Paul Bolton, LOM at the station said,
“Another fantastic show of dedication to training from all the crew. They train hard, they work hard and they always make me so proud.”

Emma and Lucy H signed up as volunteers at RNLI Rye Harbour one year ago on July 10 2022. They very quickly completed their shore crew plan and are now storming ahead with the boat crew one. They are a great asset to the station and are very dedicated, having found their fellow crew members supportive and motivating.
