Tucked quietly by the Military Canal which runs through Pett Level, is the most amazing garden which is awash in sweet peas and other flowers. Mandy Hogarth lives there and creates the most beautiful natural bouquets with flowers that she has grown herself.
For six years she was a Tom Boogie dance instructor. The classes were based on the musicals, and everyone had great fun and kept fit. Covid came and changed everything and so Mandy decided to have a change of direction for her career. She had always loved growing flowers and she had the space in her garden so Flowers on the Level was born.
She does fresh flowers in the summer months and dried flowers in autumn and winter which are wonderful as Christmas presents. Everything is grown organically and the fresh flowers are picked the day before, long conditioned for twenty-four hours and then made into bouquets.
Her style is for loose, informal bouquets which are very natural and colourful. Sometimes she forages for wild flowers and greenery which gives a rustic look to her work.
