Super Tuscan returns

In April we wrote a story about the closure of the much loved Tuscan on Lion Street, the fabulous Italian restaurant run by Jenny Vinter and Franco Florentine. The writer, Nick Forman, titled the article “Arrivederci” which literally means until we meet again. This was prescient because although Jen and Franco have indeed returned to San Gimignano, Tuscany, their names and influence carry on here in Rye.

Tom Milne, a former employee of the Tuscan has worked with Jen and Franco to create a range of delicious olive oil and balsamic vinegars, produced at their family farm. These are available exclusively at Ethel Loves Me on the High Street. They would make lovely, practical (Christmas!) presents.

Ethel also stocks other products made and sourced by artist and entrepreneur Tom, including beautiful and unique lampshades, diffuser oils and candles.
