Ancient tradition came to Winchelsea for the May Spring Bank Holiday. East Surrey Morris Men performed in Castle Street in front of an enthusiastic crowd, and what looked like potentially lethal dances with swords passed off without injury and to everyone’s delight. The event was hosted by Winchelsea Guy Fawkes Society.
