Jenny Bush, who lives in Rye, has spent a lot of the lockdown enjoying her artistic creativity and for several months she has been exhibiting her detailed oil and acrylic paintings of flora and fauna, using pebbles, shells, woodslices and driftwood to display her passion for the natural world.

You can see Jenny’s work at Ethel Loves Me on Rye High Street and in Turn the Tide in George Street, Hastings Old Town when they reopen after lockdown.

More recently, she has broadened her range to include Pebble Pet portraits, which can be produced individually, requiring only a clear image of the pet from which to work. These make popular gifts and keepsakes. Animals she has painted include dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea-pigs, and a hamster.

A recent customer wrote of his schnauzer Bess’s portrait: “I was astonished with the detail and likeness, and couldn’t be more happy.. I would 100% recommend Jenny.. fabulous!”

By profession, Jenny is an heraldic artist, and she does also accept commissions on an individual basis.

Examples included here display her expertise in this very precise area of art. Enquiries are most welcome, when preferences and prices can be discussed, or orders placed directly.
