Painters’ virtual exhibition

The Tuesday Painters Club of Rye has launched its virtual exhibition by means of a Photobook. This can be accessed either on their Facebook page or here .

Thirty two artists have contributed 129 paintings, including the poster (shown in full below) which would have been displayed at the entrance to their Summer Exhibition this year, sadly cancelled due to Covid19.

Some, but not all, of the paintings are for sale. However, the main purpose of the Virtual Exhibition was as an incentive to members to keep actively creative – and connected – under these ill-fated circumstances. At a ‘normal’ exhibition, twice as many paintings would be expected from twice as many artists, but not all members are connected to the internet and it was only possible to organise this online.

If you have enjoyed viewing the Photobook, the Tuesday Painters would urge you to share their Facebook post or send the link by email to as many people as possible. You are all Virtual Visitors!

It is very much hoped that by August 2021 the much heralded vaccines will have done their work, Covid-19 will be under control, and the Tuesday Painters can hold a super exhibition in their much-loved venue at St Mary’s Centre.
