Political heavyweight to speak locally

Sir Anthony Seldon, a British educator, and contemporary historian has been booked for a fascinating evening of discussion by the Winchelsea Literary Society.

As one of Britain’s leading commentators and political authors, he is known for his inside political biographies of Margaret Thatcher, Tony Blair, David Cameron and Theresa May. He has been the vice-chancellor of the University of Buckingham since 2015, and is the honorary historical advisor to 10 Downing Street.

Sir Anthony was knighted in 2014 for his services to education and modern political history and will be discussing his latest book The Impossible Office? 300 Years of British Prime Ministers, on Friday, November 19 at 7:30pm, at New Hall Winchelsea TN36 4AA

Non-members are welcome and an admission fee of £8 includes a glass of wine.
