In celebration of the regenerated 1066 Country Walk, Circo Rum Baba present 1066 What women? on Saturday, May 14 from 11am to 2pm as part of the Puddings and Pathways festival.

This new show is a light-hearted look at the forgotten females of 1066 told in three scenes at three venues along a section of the 1066 Country Walk. The walk starts with scene one at St Thomas the Martyr Churchyard, Winchelsea at 11am and continues along the pathway to Wickham Manor Farm and Vineyard for scene two (1.6km, approximately 20 minutes walk) for 12 noon. There, you have the opportunity to taste and buy wines at the cellar door. The walk continues along the 2.7km path to the Queen’s Head, Icklesham for scene three at 1:45pm. Here you can sample their 1066 pudding (booking advisable).

Go on foot (4.3km one way), carshare or take the train to Winchelsea station (there is a 1.6km walk from the station to St Thomas the Martyr Church).

Watch all three or just pop in to see one. What could be better than a beautiful walk together with some welcome food and drink and a bit of fun drama along the way!
