Jordan Seabrook (22) has been awarded a prestigious DNAP (Bachelors) degree from one of the world’s best and most respected art schools, L’Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris.

His interviewing jury commented that his was one of the strongest exhibitions of 3rd year graduate work in painting the school had seen in recent years.

Many of his works in his graduate show found homes with collectors from the UK and the rest of Europe and one buyer, a respected Parisian art collector referred to his choice as an early masterpiece.

Jordan, a graduate of the sadly short-lived Rye Studio School for the Creative Industries, is progressing the colourist field in abstract art, continuing from the great colourist artists of the 20th century including the likes of Matisse, Rothko, and the British artists Gillian Ayres and Howard Hodgkin.

Jordan is moving to California with his partner Emily, a Californian writer who is studying at Berkeley. He plans to study for his Masters of Fine Arts degree after he sets up a studio to continue his painting in one of the most vibrant art scenes and markets in the world.
