Flower and veg show update

Due to the popularity of Rye Community Centre and the hope amongst local event organisers that we will be back to some sort of “normal” later this year, the Rye Flower and Veg Show will now take place on Saturday, September 4 at the Rye Community Centre, instead of the previously advertised date in August.

The show classes will be advertised on the website later in the spring, but expect to see all the favourites such as potatoes, tomatoes, onions, carrots, longest runner beans and cabbage in the veg section with apples, soft fruit, herbs, dahlias and mixed garden flowers too.

If you have been practising your cookery skills over lockdown, the show will be a great chance to show off your breads, biscuits, cakes, jams and jellies.  We will also have the usual handicraft and photography classes too. Please see the website for all up to the minute information.

If you would like to be involved with the show you can contact us via the website.
