The Rye Fund was established in 2008 to support not-for-profit community groups active in and around Rye (specifically within a radius of six miles of Rye Town Hall). Over that period, Rye Fund has awarded grants in excess of ÂŁ85,000.
Whether your group has been going for many years or is just starting up; whether you have a new project or need help funding the purchase of essential equipment or with running costs – we would like to hear from you. So, if you represent such a group in need of additional funding, now is the time to consider applying for a grant from Rye Fund.
Rye Fund is able to support applications of up to ÂŁ2,000 or, working in cooperation with Sussex Community Foundation, a grant of up to ÂŁ10,000 can be considered. However, we particularly look forward to hearing from smaller groups where a modest grant can make an enormous difference. To find out more visit the website or telephone 01273 409440.
The deadline for applications is midnight on Friday, September 6 with decisions expected to be made in November.
If you would like to support the Rye Fund into the future by contributing to the work necessary to maintain it and / or enlarge the fund we would like to hear from you. In particular we have in mind:
- grant recommendations are made by Rye Fund’s local panel and we will need more local people to get involved;
- we can do nothing without donations to help grow the fund. Donations can come through lifetime gifts or legacies so if you feel able or would like to discuss how to give your financial support, please contact us.
In either case, contact Stuart Harland, the chairman of Rye Fund’s Steering Group via info@ryefund.org.uk.
