A new marketing campaign has been launched to help restore Camber’s tourist industry. It’s homegrown, passionate and determined, and is spearheaded by Gaz Jones from OpenMouth Photography.
He and several other local residents and business owners have taken it upon themselves to be proactive and Rye News is encouraging you to help too.

All you have to do is follow and share their new Facebook and Instagram accounts:
Love local, use local – Promoting Camber Sands Businesses http://www.facebook.com/cambersandsÂ
@lovecambersands www.instagram.com/lovecambersands
Crucially, use their official hashtags in order to keep positive posts at the forefront of algorithms.
#cambersands
#lovecambersands
#eastsussex
#1066country
At their meeting, held last Saturday at the Camber Castle pub, it was acknowledged that the events of the last couple of years had made this into a ‘David and Goliath struggle’ but then we all know how that ended.

So next time you go for a walk, or ride your horse, exercise your dogs or take your kids to play in the dunes or fly kites, if you use social media, then remember the hashtags. This small act could make a very big difference.
Plus if you work or live in Camber and have a positive story about life in the village do get in touch with Rye News. We’re keen to feature local stories to help promote somewhere very special. Email info@ryenews.org.uk
