A National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) board meeting and question time session will be taking place in East Sussex at the Conquest Hospital on July 20. This is  a meeting that is held bi-monthly across the UK. It is open to anyone, including members of the public as well as those working in healthcare, and is hosted by NICE Chair, Professor David Haslam, and Chief Executive, Andrew Dillon. It’s an excellent opportunity for those who work with NICE guidance or who want to know more about NICE to put their questions directly to our senior management team.

A question time session with Chief Executive Andrew Dillon and Chairman Professor David Haslam will be held before the main board meeting. The session will offer a great opportunity for to raise any questions  about the work of NICE.

Question time runs from 12:30pm to 1:30pm and the board meeting follows at 1:45pm. The meetings are open to everyone, but places are limited and must be booked in advance. Further information and details of how to register to attend can be found on the NICE website.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence is the independent body responsible for driving improvement and excellence in the health and social care system. It develops guidance, standards and information on high-quality health and social care. It also advises on ways to promote healthy living and prevent ill health.

NICE’s aim is to help practitioners deliver the best possible care and give people the most effective treatments, which are based on the most up-to-date evidence and provide value for money, in order to reduce inequalities and variation.

Its products and resources are produced for the NHS, local authorities, care providers, charities, and anyone who has a responsibility for commissioning or providing healthcare, public health or social care services.
