The Salts to be greener sooner

Following the intense heat generated by the Rye Bonfire on November 12, the patch of burnt earth might have scarred the Salts for the next six months as in previous years, writes Kenneth Bird. However, this year the bonfire society has already been able to re-seed the area, thanks to the mild November weather, and we should see green blades of grass shooting early in the Spring.
