High octane action returned to Lydd Circuit last weekend when instead of karts, the FAB-Racing Mini GP national motor-cycle championship kicked off their 2021 season.
Over a four-day extended weekend, comprising round one and round two of the 2021 championship series, 60 races were contested by riders in ten different classes.
The FAB-Racing series provides an opportunity for young riders to gain experience of motor-cycle racing at grassroots level. Established in 2004 the championship races are contested nationally through the summer and have become the established schooling ground for tomorrow’s Grand Prix and Superbike champions.
Ten-year-old Kent rider Ethan Sparks from Maidstone, the holder of two 2020 national championships, roared to victory in five out of the six races he contested, becoming one of the leading riders of the weekend.
Round three of the series takes place in Llandow, Wales, next month.
