Iden Community Emergency Forum (ICE) organised a thank you picnic on Saturday, August 7 for those Iden residents who volunteered during lockdown in assisting those less mobile or more vulnerable.

Despite the inclement weather the picnic took place at Oxenbridge Farm. The event was well attended and there was plenty to entertain all ages. The strong winds did little to deter everyone having a very enjoyable afternoon.

Proceeds have been donated to Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital to help in their efforts to raise funds to purchase a mobile echo machine as part of their centenary celebrations. A donation was also made to the Iden WI for their help with the delicious refreshments.

A huge thank you Rye Dance, Woodchurch Morris Dancers, Lindy Hop Dancers and of course everyone who volunteered on the day or helped in the organisation of the event.
