thank you for clicking on this article.

I am writing this article as I am part of young ranger who goes to little gate farm in the holiday and sometime at the weekend on Sunday. Young ranger is taking a 6 mouths break but we don’t know what going to happen after 6 mouths. Also the staff have been made redundant and some of the staff this is the only income. As the young ranger come to the farm and fell safe and well looked anther by the amazing staff who are trained in look after people with SEND. Also young rangier have money to make a different to the young people they serve and they are having a break.

Day in life as a young ranger:

10 am the bus and own people that come by car meet up.
we do star of day and see how we feel.
Then we play in the quarry.
Then we go to the woods and have lunch there.
Then we go back to the farm and those people who wound like to see the animal group or go back to the quarry.
Then we meet up again and do the end of day how you fell and what being the best part of the day.
3pm going home on bus or own car.

Also some of the parent’s or carer’s of the young present may of their need 24/27 carry can be hard but when the young person going to young ranger it give the parent’s / carer’s a let bit of a break from their young people. All parents should of be consult and asked the questing what will happened to your young person if they didn’t come to young ranger?

Here are some of the young people comment:

“I fell like a can relate to the people as we have same problem as me and I get fresh air.”
“I like the environment and going to the woods”
“ I feel upsets it taking a break from it and I fell safe in an environment and a make new friend and see old friend as well and I get to see all my fun and carrying staff.”
“ It more better then going to school as we can lead in a more environment.”

  1. A really interesting article, thank you Emma. I have such great memories of taking part in the Young Rangers programme at Little Gate. You were part of a fantastic team, and it was such a fun and meaningful experience for so many people. It’s been heartwarming to see so many of the Young Rangers go on to find fulfilling employment, and I truly hope the Little Gate team can resume the programme as soon as possible. Well done, Emma!
