Ducking the ducks for charity

Saturday September 10 saw all the fun of the Ferry Road Nursery duck race, writes Gillian Roder, starting at Ferry Road Bridge. A large crowd of children and families bought their very own yellow plastic ducks, and watched as hundreds cascaded into the Tillingham river. Bunched together, a number got stuck, to cries of horror from their owners, and were moved on by intrepid (official) people in inflatable boats prodding them along. It is safe to say that a great time was had by all!
