The junior section have made a positive start to the season.

Under 13s
Good performance by the Under 13s, fielding only one Under 13 player and missing players due to illness. They scored 106 all out in 19.5 overs. Basti Bowley with 41 and Lexy Tuddenham 21 not out rescued Rye from 0-3. The older Egerton team passed the target one down in the 18th over. All bowled well and Freddie Furnival produced a solid wicket keeping display. Thanks to Graeme Dinning as scorer and to parents discovering Egerton. Away to Ashford next Thursday.

Under 11B
It was an excellent performance by the Rye U11B team last night. A win by 22 runs over Ashford Town U11B team. Freddie Furnival 23 and Charlie Cooke 1-3 off 3 overs added the extra to a solid team performance. Next Monday the U11a host Ashford A and the U11b travel to Mersham B.

Under 15
It was a wonderfully sunny evening at the Salts on Tuesday when the U15s played Boughton. The perfect setting until the clouds rolled in and the match was abandoned. Well done to Tom O’Neill with 50 rtd Joseph Kemsley 42 and Matthew Best with 2 wickets. Next Tuesday the U15s host Great Chart U15s.

Friday softball sessions
