Rye Juniors stopped by rain

Last Thursday, the under 13s lost by 8 wickets against a strong Folkestone team. With only two under 13s, Rye scored 106-5 in 20 overs. Joshua Markson-Brown 17 and Freddie Furnival and Basti Bowley with 14 apiece batted well. Folkestone eased past the target in 14 overs. The youngsters are learning and next season will have developed as players.

The two under 11 fixtures and the U15 fixture fell foul of the rain. The U13s travel to Ashford on Thursday, May 26, the under 15s host a touring side, West Chiltington, on Sunday, 11am start, and the U11A team travel to Mersham on Monday and the U11B team host Tenterden U11B.

Softball cricket sessions continue on Friday evenings, with over 40 young people developing their skills, and enjoying playing cricket with friends.
