Beckley Rangers travelled away to Crowborough in the Crowborough and District Under 18s A League fixture and produced a convincing win in difficult conditions.

Beckley got off to the perfect start within three minutes when Connor Buss picked out Sam Roberts at back post to give Beckley the lead, 1-0. Crowborough, with the wind behind them, took only 10 minutes to reply from a corner, making 1-1.

Beckley then took control of the game and with Jordan Swain smashing the ball home took back the lead, 2-1, which was quickly followed with a goal from Oliver Skinner running at defence from the angle to slot home, making it 3-1. Then came a moment of confusion in the box and with Beckley failing to clear a loose ball Crowborough took advantage and scored and made it 3-2 at half time.

The second half started with Beckley’s Josh Zon’s special 30-yard shot into top corner making it 4-2. With Oliver Skinner and Jordan Swain helping themselves to another goal each, Beckely took the score to 6-2. It was then left for George Ball to score his first goal for Beckley, making the final score 7-2.

The Lankelma and McCartney productions Man of Match was split this week between Jordan Swain and Nathan Pagden. Beckley hope to keep their winning streak going when they meet Hampden Park United Youth in the Crowborough Under 18s League match on Sunday morning at the Malting in Peasmarsh.
