Each Friday, starting again this week, 9 January at St Mary’s Centre, a lovely group of holistic health practitioners, offer their time and services to help support and complement traditional medicines. There are 12 practitioners, rotating who is there each week.
Varying from a relaxing hand massage, cranial sacral therapy and body work to homeopathy and reflexology, there is a lot to find out about and try.
They are there to not only offer treatments, help and advice but also provide a safe space for people to come along, feel comfortable and supported, enjoy a warm drink and cake and have a chat about what is available – safe alternatives and natural ways to enhance your health and wellbeing, alongside connecting with others. It is a chance to take back control of your own health under your terms, to be open and willing to listen and learn about treatments that can be so beneficial.
I met with some of the ladies who made me feel very welcome and were willing to share with me what they do and why. It’s simple really: they just want to help you feel better, feel stronger and take charge of your health. They are there for you, so I would urge you to walk in and ask questions to find out more. They are a lovely group and will most certainly listen and if you are unsure, you don’t have to have anything done, simply find out more whilst being in a nurturing and calming environment. Many people have difficult times so having support and understanding is paramount to feeling better.
I spoke to a lady and gentleman who are regular visitors and both agree they are so glad they walked through the door and how much better they feel for having the treatments but not just that, it’s having a place to talk and be heard. I think its safe to say they are happier and healthier for going.
They would love for more people to pop in and have a discussion about what is available, how it may help you find ease within and take control of your health and wellbeing so please go and say hello.
